Levercie Craven

Mrs. Levercie Craven was born October 25, 1936, in Prescott, Arkansas. She was

the second of six children born to Christene Tyree-George and John Wesley George Sr. She left this life as she lived it, quietly and without fanfare on February 27,2019 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Prescott.

She graduated from McRae High School in 1955 and attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active participant on the Mother’s Board, a

former Sunday School Teacher, member of the Mt. Zion Choir and a host of other

committees over the years. She was dedicated to her family, friend and Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She lovingly acted as Big Mama to Nakya Moss and Mattison Moss.

Levercie was preceded in death by her mother Christene Tyree-George, her father

John Wesley George, Sr., her husband William H. (Buddy) Craven and daughter

Charlotte Ann Craven.

Levercie leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory: A devoted son

William E. Craven (Dorica Michele) of Prescott, Three grandsons; Brandon D.

Franklin of Prescott, Derrick D. Franklin of Prescott, Justin K. Craven (Millie) of

Little Rock, AR. One granddaughter, Ebonisha M. Craven of Hope, AR. Four

great grandsons, four sisters, Pasty Ruth Gillard of Prescott, Jessie Mae Anthony

of Prescott, Bobbie Jean Palmer (Rev. Al Palmer) of Prescott, Judy Ann Toliver

(Wayne) of Prescott and one brother John Wesley Jr. (Mary) of Hope AR., a host

of nieces, nephews, special cousins, special friends, and special Brother-in -law,

James Craven of Prescott, AR.
