Two charged with possession

On March 10, at approximately 3:15pm, in the area of the 400 block of South  Fulton Street, officers of the Hope Police Department performed a traffic stop for a traffic violation  that resulted in the arrest of

Edward Lagrone, 40, of Hope.  Mr. Lagrone was arrested and charged with no seatbelt, possession with the purpose to deliver (other), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with purpose to deliver (prescription drugs), and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).  LaGrone was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On March 10, at approximately 3pm, Officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Terrell Evans, 28, of Hope, and charged him with delivery of prescription drugs, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), obstructing government operations, and served a failure to appear and foreign warrant.   The arrest was the result of a traffic stop conducted in the area of  6th and Texas Streets in Hope.  Evans was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
