Cecil Lee Delaney

Cecil Lee Delaney, 95, of Richardson, TX, formerly of Hope died March 5, 2019.  He was born May 7, 1923 in Nashville,AR.  
He was a proud member of the 297th combat engineers in WW11.  His unit was in the D-Day invasion and the Battle of the Bulge.  He was a grocery store owner in Hope for over 40 years, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lion’s Club and a past president of the Hope Country Club.
Cecil loved golf, the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Democratic Party, and his family.  He lived his life with God’s help “One Day at a Time.”
Survived by sister Lillian Aylett of Nashville, AR.  Wife of 73 years Norma Jean, daughters Cecilia and Carla, granddaughter Emily and great grandchildren Delaney and Hayden.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church, Hope, AR.  Arrangements are pending for a memorial service at a later date.
