Deadline nears for strategic planning committee

HOPE – The application period for the
Hempstead County strategic plan committee will conclude midnight Monday, April
29, 2019. To make the process as open and accessible to everyone in Hempstead
County as possible, applications can be filled out online at hempstead.youraedi.com,
or picked up at the following locations around the county:
Hope City Hall Hempstead
County Economic Development
Hope Chamber of Commerce Hempstead
County Courthouse
Blevins School Administration Office Sunny’s
Food Mart, Fulton
Grill 355, Springhill McCaskill Community
Center
Old Washington State Park Post Office
Applicants
will be notified by Friday, May 3 to which committee they are assigned.
Committee members will be responsible for creating a 5-year strategic plan for
Hempstead County through critical assessments of assets and issues, research
and development of action plans. For the
process and plan to be successful, it is essential that citizens from all walks
of life, age, race and interests participate in the process.

play. The goal is to create implementable strategies that will not become just
another plan sitting on a shelf.”
