Scotty James

Scotty Madison James was born March 8, 1942 in Princeton, WV. He went to be with his Lord April, 24, 2019 in Texarkana.

Mr. James spent his life serving his country. He served 21 years in the USAF, retiring as a TSGT Boom Operator. He then attended school and became a police officer in Arizona until his retiring again and then he came to Hope, Arkansas where he served as the 911 dispatch Supervisor where he was over 911 dispatchers for several different divisions of law enforcement. He enjoyed life to its fullest, whether it was fishing with friends on his houseboat at Lake Bisteneau, working in his woodshop, the Seattle Seahawks games, or watching his favorite westerns on TV. He loved his family and cared for his wife.
Mr. James was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta Bishop, father, Richard James, Sr., and a brother, Richard James. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maybelle James of Hope, Ark, daughter, Elisha James of Mishawaka, IN, son, Scott James and wife Shelia of Rockford, IL and daughter, Laura James of Raleigh, NC and grandchildren, Matthew, Ashton, Kylie and Gemma and many nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating the life of Scotty James will be held Monday, April 29, 2019, 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
