Lawrence McKillion

Mr. Lawrence E. McKillion was born on September 25, 1947 to the late Henry Sr. and Mary McKillion. He is the fourth child of nine children; his second brother James McKillion preceded him in death. Lawrence transitioned into the next life on April 24, 2019, surrounded by his family in Prescott, Arkansas. Lawrence attended Emmet Key School, Yerger High, and afterwards joined the US Army where he committed himself to two tours in Vietnam. After he came home, he became a truck driver which he loved tremendously; he always had stories from the road to tell. He worked for local companies and was with Tyson Foods until his health failed.

Lawrence joined Greater St. Paul at a young age and he loved the Lord. He was a man that always spoke his mind and there was one saying he always said – “Oh yeah, I set them straight.” He was loved by many people for many reasons, but mainly for his good heart and his willingness to always help people no matter what the situation. Lawrence did not have children of his own, but he truly loved his many nieces and nephews.

He leaves to cherish his memory: five brothers; Henry McKillion Jr. (Ann), William R. McKillion (Marilynn) of Hope, AR, William E. McKillion of Milwaukee, WI, Sedric McKillion (Rose), and Mark McKillion of Prescott, AR, two sisters; Mary McKillion of Tacoma, WA and Juanita Henderson of Prescott, AR, Sister-cousin, Annie Kathryn, and a host of nieces, nephews, many cousins, and close friends. “Fly High Hank”
