Flash Flood Watch – Hope Prescott

Flash flooding possible across portions of the region today through Thursday

FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Flash Flood Watch for portions of southwest Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma, and northeast Texas, including the following areas,

Southwest Arkansas: Hempstead, Howard, Little River, Miller, and Sevier.

Southeast Oklahoma: McCurtain.

Northeast Texas: Bowie, Camp, Cass, Franklin, Morris, Red River, Smith, Titus, Upshur, and Wood.

Through Thursday evening
Multiple rounds of intense thunderstorms will bring heavy rain
and the potential for flash flooding.
Low lying and poor drainage areas as well as creeks and streams will
be especially prone to flooding.
