Vandiver in Arkansas Military Hall of Fame

This week’s Arkansas Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame feature is Carl Bud Vandiver of Prescott. Carl Bud Vandiver entered World War II with the 153rd Infantry of the Arkansas National Guard. He served two years in Alaska before being ordered to North Africa and Italy where he earned the Bronze Star medal and Purple Heart as an Infantry Platoon Ser­geant with the 91st Infantry. Vandiver was inducted into the Arkansas Military Veterans Hall of Fame in November 2013.
