Hempstead County Leadership Class Unveils Welcome Sign

HOPE- The Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Leadership class revealed their group project on Monday, May 13. They helped design and put together a sign that is placed in the flower bed of 3rd and Walnut. The Hempstead County Beautifcation committee, along with Greg Wolf, and the City of Hope all took part in the making the sign a success. The sign was made to where you can view the sign no matter which direction you are coming from on 3rd street. On the sign you see what is the skyline of Historic Downtown Hope, from Bancorp South to what will soon be the Hempstead County Courthouse. Members of the leadership class consisted of; Christy Burns/ Heather Manor, Aley Mendoza / Heather Doucet State Farm Insurance, Lindsey Townsend / Lance & Associates Real Estate, Penny Everett / Express Employment, Stephanie Chambless / SWEPCO Turk Power Plant, Wendy Jones / UAHT & Valley View Farms, Summer Powell / City of Hope.
