PRESCOTT – Tuesday’s community coffee was hosted by Munn’s Chapel Baptist Church to welcome its new preacher and his wife, Kyle and LaQuita Jones.

The meeting room at the Nevada County Library was packed with members of the congregation and community. Willie Wilson introduced the new pastor saying he’s a family man with a wife and three children, has been the pastor of a church in Curtis and before he came was the assistant pastor at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He has a BA from HSU, his Master’s from UALR and is working on his doctorate at UCA.

Jones thanked everyone for attending and said while everyone present wasn’t a member of Munn’s, Munn’s belongs to them. He told the crowd he wants to make a positive impact on the community.

Robert Poole, superintendent of the Prescott School District, presented the two with Curley Wolf shirts as a welcoming gift.
