Washington Farmer’s Market open Saturday till noon

WASHINGTON – The Old Washington Farmers’ Market will be open from 8am to Noon this Saturday June 8th. The market is located behind Washington City Hall across from Williams Tavern Restaurant in Washington, Arkansas. Come out and support your local farmers and get locally grown produce.

Vendors at the market include:  Hannah Berries of Emmet will have their sweet blueberries and blackberries and beautiful eggplants.  Do not miss out on these delicious berries for they will go fast! Silvey Farm of Bodcaw with green beans, red potatoes, squash, variety of jams and jellies.  They will also have amazing cinnamon rolls and chocolate mint cookies and zucchini bread.  Arnold Farm of DeAnn with new potatoes, onions, garlic, green beans, peppers, limited tomatoes and English cucumbers and sweet crunchy salad cucumbers; The Front Porch of Washington with farm fresh eggs.  Wildflowers of Washington with squash, yellow zucchini, new potatoes, cucumber, jars of local honey and a sorted jams and jellies; Peggy Carrigain of Ozan with assortment of sweet breads and pies; Joseph Barry of Washington with Lemonade and painted flowerpots and mint sprigs.  Come out early to get first picks of produce for it will go fast.  Be sure to also sign up for the give away basket. You don’t have to be present to win.
