Washington Farmer’s Market open from 8-noon Saturday

WASHINGTON – The Old Washington Farmers’ Market will be open from 8am to Noon this Saturday June . The market is located behind Washington City Hall across from Williams Tavern Restaurant in Washington, Arkansas. Come out and support your local farmers and get locally grown produce.

Vendors at the market include:  Hannah Berries of Emmet will have their sweet blueberries, blackberries, cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers.  Few more weeks before these delicious berries are gone for the season.  Come out early to get them! Arnold Farm of DeAnn with limited sweet corn, tomatoes, new potatoes, green beans, onions, garlic, peppers, and English cucumbers and sweet crunchy salad cucumbers; The Front Porch of Washington with farm fresh eggs, cookies, brownies, a variety of plant and tree starters.  Wildflowers of Washington with cucumbers, squash, yellow zucchini, new potatoes, onions, jars of local honey and a sorted jams and jellies; Joseph Barry of Washington with Lemonade and painted flowerpots, Aunt Fern of Ozan with her famous fried pies.  Come out early to get your first picks of produce for it will go fast.  Be sure to also sign up for the giveaway basket. You don’t have to be present to win. The market will be serving blackberry sorbet.  The blackberries are from the market and there will be a recipe those that would like to try it at home.  See you at market Saturday!
