State Representative Danny Watson seeks Re-Election


Hope – State Representative Danny Watson, has announced he will seek re-election. He serves House District 3, which is made up of Hempstead County and the majority of Nevada County. The Primary Election will be held on March 3, 2020 and the General Election on November 3, 2020.
Since elected, I have not strayed from the promise to do all possible to improve infrastructure, lower taxes when possible, improved healthcare, improved educational opportunities, and a leaner more efficient government.
Representative Watson currently serves as Vice-Chair of Joint Audit/Municipalities & Counties, House Public Transportation Committee, House Aging, Children & Youth, Legislative & Military Affairs Committee, and Joint Committee on Energy.
Representative Watson has worked tirelessly with colleagues on both side of the aisle and both Chambers to ensure that people with developmental disabilities have a voice, have access to needed services and are not forgotten in a changing health care system. Also, staying mindful that Arkansas is a rural state, a farming state, a state imbedded deep in tourism, and most important maintaining the priority of any possibilities of manufacturing jobs within District 3.
Representative Watson was first elected to the Arkansas House in November of 2016 and was re-elected without opposition in 2018. He and his wife Judy are longtime residents of Hope/Hempstead County with two children and four grandchildren. He has served the Transportation Industry for 30 years as an Officer with the Arkansas Highway Police and in the private sector as a Director of Safety. Representative Watson served on the Hope Public School Board of Directors for fifteen years, Hempstead County Quorum Court for eight years and Southwest Arkansas Developmental Homes, Inc. Board of Directors.
