HPD makes three arrests

On  June 27, at approximately 2:40pm, officers responded to a call in reference to a disturbance located in the 1300 block of South Main Street, in Hope. A short time later, officers arrested Demario C. Cheatham, 21, of Hope and charged him with residential burglary and domestic battery 3^rd degree. Cheatham was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where he was held for a 1^st appearance. 

On June 27, at approximately 2:30pm, officers arrested Luke Haddix, 20, of Corpus Cristi, Texas and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident, felony domestic battery 3^rd degree, and a failure to appear warrant.  This incident occurred in the 700 block of East 3^rd Street, in Hope.  Haddix was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where he was held for a 1^st appearance.

On June 26, officers of the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department arrested Adante Patrick, 37, of Hope, with a warrant for delivery of methamphetamine.  Patrick was jailed and held for a first appearance.  The warrant is the result of a 2018 narcotics investigation conducted by the Hope Police Department.
