Stacey Stone Tells Hope Lions About Feral Hog Control

The Hope Lions heard from Cooperative Extension Ag Agent for Hempstead County Stacey Stone on Monday July 8th.  Stone talked about some feral hog control methods.  He noted feral hogs have been with us in Arkansas since the state was first explored by Hernando De Soto.  He said a single sow can produce up to 103 hogs within a two year period.  He talked about some of the various methods of trapping and euthanizing the hogs.  Stone also talked about the threat of army worms to residential yards.  If you have any questions on these topics, feel free to call Stone at 777-5771.
