Washington farmers market open till noon Saturday

WASHINGTON – The Old Washington Farmers’ Market will be open from 8am to Noon this Saturday July 13th. The market is located behind Washington City Hall across from Williams Tavern Restaurant in Washington, Arkansas. Come out and support your local farmers and get locally grown produce. Vendors at the market include:  Arnold Farm of DeAnn with watermelon, few green beans, tomatoes, new potatoes, onions, garlic, peppers, English cucumbers and sweet crunchy salad cucumbers;  Silvey Farm of Bodcaw with long beans, squash, cucumbers, green tomatoes, okra, zucchini bread, and homemade rolls.  Aunt Fern of Ozan with her famous fried pies.  Barry’s Products from Washington with delicious lemonade, cucumbers and painted flower pots. Come out early to get your first picks of produce for it will go fast.  Be sure to also sign up for the giveaway basket. You don’t have to be present to win. The market hospitality table will be serving homemade cantaloupe sorbet. The cantaloupe is from Arnold Farm.
