Hope Lions Hear From Anna Powell
By Mark Keith, 09/25/19 1:09 AMAnna Powell of UAHT spoke to the Hope Lions on September 23rd. Powell shared a lot of information on the college. She noted this past May the college conferred 756 degrees and certificates. Powell said 48 people received G.E.D.’s thanks to the Adult Education Center. She talked about the “Purtle Advising Center”. Powell gave an update on the Johnny Rapert Library expansion noting the upgrades include plenty of tech features. She said the fall enrollment is 1,481 so far this semester. Powell also talked about the Bladesmith School at Washington the college will now oversee in cooperation with knifemaker Jerry Fisk.
