Homecoming Victory for Bobcats

HOPE-The Bobcats started the game by moving the ball, with Jarod Hamilton having a drive to the 20 yard line. The leopards did not have much progress during their first possession and were forced to punt. Penalties are what caused the leopards to have a turnover and exchange the ball back in the hands of the Bobcats. During the second quarters the Leopards got their drive going, with a horse collar and tackle called against the Bobcats it allowed the Leopards to score causing a tied ball game of 7-7 going into the half.

Chris Torres led the second half off with a kickoff causing a touchback, the Bobcats then make a block.The Bobcat held strong fortnight Leopards to punt. Ladarius Watson had a great block and Corey Lewis runs the ball in for the second Bobcat touchdown of the night bringing up a 14-7 lead. A fair catch punt by the Leopards in Bobcat territory gave the field position to the Leopards, they were able to break through the defense line and score tying the game at 14-14.

Ammorrion Dempsey runs the kickoff and takes a hit knocking his helmet off, but continues to run, with flags on the play for face mask and personal foul the ball was marked at the 21 yard line. Hunter Hellums makes a pass to Lawson who gets the ball to the 13. With flags and two incomplete passes, Torres makes a successful attempt at a 36 yard field goal.

Torres kicks off deep leaving the Leopards thinking it would be a touchback but lands at the one yard line, picked up and placed at the 3 yard line. The Leopards had a failed handoff attempt and fumble the ball and the Bobcats recover at their own 4 yard line. Hellums being pressured for plays makes an underhanded pass to Hamilton who goes in for the touchdown(24-14).

The Leopards come back and score rather quickly(24-21) during the kickoff the Bobcats pick up. Hellums makes a pass to Hamilton to get the first down followed by a pass to Mckinsey Davis into Leopard territory. With great handoffs plays to Hamilton and Dempsey with big gains, followed by a passing play to Davis, and a pass Lawson who then scores the touchdown bringing the score 31-21.

With confusion with calls and a fumble the Leopards are able to get two touchdowns taking a 31-34 lead. With two minutes left in the game Hellums makes a pass to Davis who runs it out of bounds at the 45 yard line to stop the clock. With three passing plays Lawson was able to run the ball in for a touchdown putting the cats back in the lead 38-35.
