Students get flu shots at Nevada
ROSSTON – Students, faculty and staff at the Nevada School District had the chance to get their flu shots Tuesday morning as the Nevada County Health Unit held a flu clinic in the school library.
Approximately 490 people got their flu shot at the recent mass flu clinic at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, and more than 300 were expected to get vaccinated at the school clinic Tuesday. In addition, a mini-mass clinic was held at the school Tuesday afternoon for those who were unable to go to the mass flu clinic.
Several of the students were less than thrilled to get the injections, and let everyone around know of their displeasure. However, they still got vaccinated and will be protected from at least four strains of the flu as the vaccine is a quadravalient.
