Representative Watson Presents Checks to Food Share Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR 10/4/19 – Food Share Arkansasreceived a $500 check from the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance during Hunger Action Month. Arkansas State Representative Danny Watson presented the check and praised the work of the volunteers, “these hunger relief agencies are a blessing to the more than 1,700 NevadaCounty residents who struggle to keep food on their tables.”

“The Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance thanks Representative Watson for his dedication to alleviating hunger in his district and throughout the state,” said Kathy Webb, executive director of the Alliance.

“As a member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, I am committed to increasing access to nutritious food for people in my district who are in need. I am grateful to the Alliance for being an important partner in this effort,” said Representative Watson. 

Legislators who served at the annual Serving up Solutions fundraising event presented by the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance in cooperation with the Arkansas Legislative Hunger Caucus, received grant dollars to award to hunger agencies in their legislative districts to help them build the capacity of their programs and be of more service to the hungry Arkansans in their communities.              Food Share Arkansas volunteers and Representative Danny Watson
