HOPE – Scout Troop 5 went on their annual DeGray Lake Water Sports Campout. The group stayed at Ross-Rhodes Scout Reservation near Bismark, Arkansas. Dr. Donald Sitzes, Ed Flagg and Ken Shafer brought their ski boats and party barge for lots of tubing fun. Billy Lafferty and Chris Connell brought Billy’s 3 Seadoos plus 5 kayaks for more opportunities.

The Scouts under the supervision of Donnie Golden cooked hot dogs,
marshmallows, hamburgers, bacon, omelets, sausage, French toast, ribs, pork loin and chicken wings. The meats were cooked on Donnie’s smoker. The Scouts also cooked cabbage, cobbler and banana pudding (Aunna McCant’s specialty).

A great time was had by all.
