Helen Jester

By submitted, 10/16/19 2:36 PM

On October 15th at 2:15pm Helen Cathryn “Cat” Jester went to be with her Lord. She was a homemaker and wife. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and in her spare time watching cooking shows for new recipes for them to try. She enjoyed every moment spent with her family, as she would sing “Precious Memories”.  She loved babies’ feet and hearing them cry.  She was a beloved member of the Boughton Community and a member of the Boughton Baptist Church since childhood. She lived her life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face. Her home was always open to anyone and everyone who needed it. Whether it be a listening ear or a glass of home-made iced tea.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bobby Joe “Pete” Jester, and their three children; Darlene (Joe) Young of Hope, Jimmy Joe (Bub) Jester of Prescott and the baby Denise (Rick) Stubbs of Okolona, AR. She had six grandchildren: Bobby Young, Theresa Powell, Breanna Kirkley, Courtney Roach, James Stubbs and Nick Stubbs who called her Mommie, her twelve great-grandchildren that called her Mommie Cat, one sister Martha (Barney) Allison of Hamburg, AR, two sisters-in-law, Judy Jester of Prescott and Helen Elmore Land of Lake Village, AR and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
