Leadership class learns business and economic development

PRESCOTT – Leadership Nevada County held its Business & Economic Development session on October 10.

The morning began at the Nevada County Depot & Museum. John Brannan spoke to the class on the Prescott Economic Development office and its history. Jamie Hillery gave an overview of the Chamber of Commerce and what role it plays in our community. The class then heard from Perry Nelson would gave the group a presentation of the Prescott Water & Sewer plants. The group was the given a presentation by Steve Jones and Kristen Barre with Arkansas Department of Economic Development. The group then went to Chicken Den for lunch.

The class rounded out the day with tours of the Nevada County Recycle Center, Food Share and Firestone Building Supply.
