Imagination Library hosts community coffee Tuesday

This program, started by country music star Dolly Parton, helps get books into the hands of children and give them a leg up on reading before they start school. There is no cost for families to register and the books are also free, along with being sent directly to the child’s home address.
Gloria Majors, who spearheaded the effort to get Imagination Library up and running in Nevada County, told the packed community room at the Nevada County Library about the progress the program has made, and reminded them this is a 501(c)3 organization and donations are needed to keep it going.
