Tree trimming time
By Staff, 11/6/19 1:19 PMPRESCOTT – It may seem a bit early to be putting up a Christmas tree, but members of the Nevada County Master Gardeners were doing just that Wednesday afternoon.
Once again, the club set up shop in Sterling Square, with help from the city’s electric department, and put up their tree. The tree serves as an anchor for the holiday decorations in the city and is one of the first things seen by visitors coming into town off I-30.
Due to Thanksgiving being later this year, and deer season starting, this was the only week in November the Gardeners had to put up and decorate the tree. Otherwise, the tree couldn’t have been set up until early December.
