Trio arrested by HPD

HOPE – On October 29, at approximately 7:14pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Zenon G. Torres, 26, of Hope and charged him with rape and sexual assault 2nd degree.  The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington, in Hope. Torres was escorted to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where he was booked and held for a first court appearance.

On October 29, at approximately 11:58pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Tanesha Cooper, 32, of Hope, and charged her with driving while intoxicated-drugs, possession of cont. substance marijuana, and endangering the welfare of a minor in 1st degree.  The arrest occurred in the 600 block of south Edgewood Street, in Hope.  Cooper was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On November 3, at approximately 11:15am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Juan Luna, 19, of Hope, and charged him with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of control substance near certain facilities, possession of controlled substance methamphetamine, and possession of controlled substance marijuana. The arrest occurred in the 100 block of South Fulton Street, in Hope.  Luna was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
