2019 Hempstead County Christmas Parade
The Annual Christmas Parade took place on Monday, December 1. The parade route started at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home and made its way down Main Street and turning on Division Street by Tailgaters then right onto Walnut Street where the parade came to an end at the First Baptist Church parking lot.
The parade consisted of educator of the year-Robin Townsend, citizen of the year-Dixie Coffee, and business of the year-LaGrone Williams. The parade floats were decorated to the theme of “12 Days of Christmas” and those walking handed out candy canes and candy, the parade concluded with the jolly man himself Santa Claus, riding on the Hope Fire Department Truck.
