HPD arrests five

HOPE – On November 25, 2019, at approximately 6am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Andre Coley, 29, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with three counts of delivery of methamphetamine The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street, in Hope.  Coley was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On November 27, 2019, at approximately 1:30am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Santos Mendoza, 32, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with Rape. The arrest occurred in the 200 block of East 3rd Street, in Hope.  Mendoza was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On November 27, 2019, at approximately 9am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Kerry McBride, 48, of Dierks, Arkansas and charged her with theft of property, fraudulent use of credit card or debit card, and 4 counts of forgery in the 2nd degree. The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street, in Hope. McBride was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On November 28, 2019, at approximately 4:20am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested a male juvenile of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with theft by receiving, and breaking or entering.  The arrest occurred in the 100 block of West 16th Street, in Hope.   The juvenile was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and later released to his parent.


On November 30, 2019, at approximately 6:15am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested James Bentley, 37, of Hope and charged him with criminal trespass and aggravated assault on a family member.  The arrest occurred in the 300 block of South Washington Street, in Hope.  Bentley was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
