The 70th annual Hope Lions Club Auction kicked off to a start Thursday December 5th with several hundred bidders on hand and a variety of items available for sale.  After an opening prayer by Lion Harold Freeman, the National Anthem by Shelley Keith, and the presentation of the colors of the Boy Scouts, bidding got underway in earnest.   Don Worthy sold several “hams of meat” and other auctioneers included Ken Shafer and Don Honea.  The auction continues at 6pm Friday and Saturday night.  If you can attend in person, you can hear the auction live on 1490AM/KXAR and 107.9FM KHOA-LP.  The auction is seen via live stream videon on swarktoday.com.
