Leadership Christmas party fun for all involved
PRESCOTT – It was Leadership Nevada County’s turn to have a Christmas Party Wednesday.
The party was held at the home of Mary Godwin, executive director of the Prescott-Nevada County Economic Development Office, with members of the leadership board present for the festivities. The meal was potluck, with everyone bringing something.
Once lunch was over, it was time for fun and games. The first game was a Nativity test to see how much everyone knew about the birth of Jesus, according to the bible. Most had problems because of popular mythology and movies about the nativity.
Then came the main event, Dirty Santa, where it was time to see who was whose friend when push came to shove. Julie Oliver wound up getting to pick six gifts as her initial choices wound up going home with someone else. Some picked their own gifts, but everyone had fun playing and no one went home empty handed.
The leadership board will meet in January for its annual meeting, then won’t meet again until around September when it’ll be time to work on the 2021 leadership program and begin recruiting a new class.
