Outreach Christmas party enjoyed by youngsters
By Staff, 12/22/19 7:21 AMPRESCOTT – Saturday was the Third Annual Community Outreach Christmas party at the Potlatch Building.
The event began with a meal of hot dogs, chili dogs, nachos, popcorn, drinks and desserts. The real show began when people were finished eating and drawings were held for bicycles.
Rev. Ivory Curry sponsored the event, getting donations to buy more than two dozen bikes of different sizes, along with several other toys for children. He split the drawings for bicycles into two segments, saying if all the bikes were given out at once, no one would stick around for the rest.
The youngsters not only enjoyed their bikes, but also the hot dogs and other goodies. Those who won toys didn’t go home disappointed either.
The Potlatch building was packed for the event.
