HOPE – Cindy Lance has been selected as the new Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. Lance began her employment at the college in 1998 as an accounting instructor. Over the next few years, additional responsibilities such as Perkins Coordinator and Associate of Arts in Teaching Coordinator were added to her duties. Lance became the Dean of the Business, Technology, and Education division in 2010. In 2015 she moved from academics to the Business Office, where she took on the role of Controller before being selected as the new Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.

Lance said her parents raised her to embrace Christian values, hard work, and an appreciation for education. She graduated from Southern Arkansas University with a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting in 1981. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1999. “My husband Steve and I share a strong work ethic and love for our local community; proudly, we see these same values demonstrated in both of our children, Amanda and Clay,” said Lance.

“UAHT has a prominent place in Arkansas’s list of higher education institutions. As I join the strong leadership team already in place, I will do my best to advance the college’s mission of improving the lives of students, employees, and community partners associated with this great institution. I consider it an honor to serve as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at UAHT.”
