Cutting Contest
By Mark Keith, 01/20/20 6:38 PMA “cutting contest” was held as part of the ceremonies at UAHT’s James Black School of Bladesmithing and Historic Trades this past Friday at Washington. Jake Rhea, Lin Rhea, and Jim Sowers came in first through third respectively. The participants had to use a Bowie knife to cut a 2 x 4, a cardboard tube, rope, and bottles of water. Competition was keen and those on hand really enjoyed seeing the skill these gentlemen had with their knives.
