Farmer’s bake sale to raise money for Food Share

PRESCOTT – With Friday being Valentine’s Day, it was a perfect time to go to Farmer’s Bank in Prescott.

Normally banking and Valentine’s Day don’t go hand in hand, but at all of the main Farmer’s banks, employees baked sweets to be sold and raise money for local charities. Prescott’s Farmer’s chose to raise money for the local Food Share. Each of the banks was allowed to select its own charity. Two tables were set up in the lobby in Prescott, with cookies, candies and plenty of Valentine’s Day treats. There was also a contest where one lucky person who gets closest to guessing the number of communication hearts in a jar would win a travel mug filled with kisses and a $20 gift certificate to the Prescott Pizza Hut.
