Hempstead County Lincoln Day Dinner

The Hempstead County Republican Committee held their Lincoln Day Dinner Monday February 17th at Hempstead Hall.  The program was emceed by Troy Lerew and County Judge Jerry Crane brought the invocation.  Ed Flagg led a tribute to police, first responders,and military Veterans.  The colors were presented by Boy Scout Troop 5.. Following a meal catered by Amigo Juan’s, Sharon Wright introduced State Representative Danny Watson who introduced keynote speaker Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin.  The Lt. Gov. noted he gets up every day and works on how to keep Arkansas competitive and moving ahead economically.  He also went over President Trump’s accomplishments and said the Republican party has to lead because other parties won’t.

    Following the guest speaker, Ed Flagg conducted a live auction on a knife and a bench made by Jack Easterling.  Send. Jimmy Hickey bought the bench then donated back to be auctioned again.
    Door prizes were presented and the meeting was dismissed by Danny Watson.
