Congratulations to Patricia Nichols upon her retirement from the University of Arkansas Southwest Research and Extension Center.  A retirement reception was held Monday and Nichols also received a special honor from the National Weather Service in Shreveport due to her work for many years collecting weather data at the SWREC.  The center is the official weather station for Hope.  Our congratulations go to Patricia Nichols on her 35 years with the SWREC and we wish her a very happy retirement!

Patricia Nichols received a special honor from the US National Weather Service Shreveport Louisiana yesterday as she enters retirement. One of her outstanding contributions has been collecting weather data at our weather station here at SWREC for many of her 35 years. We have been an official reporting site for over 100 years thanks to reliable, dependable people like Patricia.
