Hope Chamber postpones banquet, coffees

HOPE – Due to the increasing number of Coronavirus/COVID-19 cases and implications that have unfolded (and will continue to unfold), the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors decided this morning, Friday, March 13, that the upcoming Annual Meeting & Banquet scheduled for Monday, March 16 should be postponed for the betterment of our community.

This decision was made after reviewing statistical information, discussing long-term implications and potential impact on future programs, activities and events.

We sincerely appreciate our sponsors, table hosts and ticket holders as well as our auction donors.  Please take note, this is NOT a cancelation of an event, merely a postponement with a date yet to be determined.

For all who planned to participate in the program, please understand that we will regroup and will follow the same program agenda.  Thank you for understanding.

On another note, the weekly Chamber Community Coffees will be canceled until further notice.

Beckie Moore, Director of the Chamber stated, “At this time, the chamber will work alongside the City of Hope and Hempstead County leaders in assisting in any way possible as plans are put in place for the safety and well-being of our community.”
