Mrs. Helen Shepard McKinney, age 95 of Hope, Arkansas passed away April 6, 2020, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab In Prescott, Ar. She was born may 10 1924 in Noxubee County Mississippi to the elate Rufus Howard and Martha Lockler Shepherd.

On Dec 31,1944, she married Dale McKinney. They were blessed with 66 years together until his death in 2010, they enjoyed traveling and took trips to places like Israel, Germany, Egypt and Switzerland. Helen learned to play the piano and accompanied singing at the small rural churches her husband pastored. Ms. McKinney worked many years as a bookkeeper at Hope Brick Works and Hope Builders Supply. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, most crafts and sharing her creative talents with others. For many years she volunteered in many chartable activities in Hope. In addition to her parents, husband, sisters Clarice, Mary, Evelyn and brothers James and Waldo, Rh Jr. Her twin Herbert, George and John.

She is survived by one brother Warren (Jackie) Shepherd of Columbus Mississippi and a number of nieces and nephews

A private graveside will be April 9, 2020, with her nephew Rev. David Shepherd officiating.
