Hempstead County Posts First COVID-19 Fatality

Hempstead County has recorded its first confirmed death caused by the Covid-19 virus. The victim tested positive for Covid-19 on April 2, 2020 and was admitted to Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope. She passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. The victim was an African-American female over the age of 65.
