The Hope High School Class of 2020 was one step closer to graduation in some fashion Friday with the distribution at social distancing of caps and gowns. HHS Principal Bill Hoglund directed traffic as representatives of the Herff-Jones Co. handed out caps and gowns and other graduation packet items in a drive-through format. Hoglund said the system worked well, but some logistics remained to be worked out before any decision is made regarding a drive-through graduation ceremony May 8. Hoglund said plans for some form of recognition of seniors on May 8 will be announced. – Ken McLemore/Hope Public Schools
