By Staff, 04/15/20 8:59 PM

According to Hempstead County United Way President Brian Lee, the organization has created a COVID-19 Response Fund to help support those in Hempstead County Most affected by the impacts of this new disease.  Many businesses are temporarily closing and many workers are losing their only sources of income.   Canceled Events, school closures, and quarantines are putting many of our friends and neighbors at risk.  This week, the United Way of Hempstead County has provided emergency funds to Hope In Action for their food pantry and shelter.  The United Way is asking community members who can to help with donations.  ALL donations will stay in Hempstead County to assist our neighbors during this difficult time.  For more information contact Lee at the First National Bank of Tom Bean or any United Way board member.
