HOPE/PRESCOTT – Thanks to the generosity of Farmers Insurance, the Rodney Orr Agency in Hope says they have been given the opportunity to “give back to our community during this time of uncertainty.”

Thursday morning Orr met with Hope in Action #1 and #2.

Hope in Action #1, located at 606 W 3rd Street, directed by Mae Dulaney, provides individuals in Hempstead County access to a food pantry and an emergency shelter, Hope in Action hosts 20 beds at this location.

Hope in Action #2, located at 2500 Hwy 67 W, directed by Helen Byers, provides a safe haven for several individuals.

Hope in Action said in a statement, ” We are committed to integrity. We are grateful for associations with organizations and individuals whose generous donations help alleviate hunger and suffering while instilling hope for the future.”

Donations can be made at either location.

Wednesday, Agent Orr met with the FoodShare & Opportunity Network in Prescott.

FoodShare Arkansas is a community food pantry serving residents of Nevada County, Gurdon, Emmet, and Blevins.

Orr said, “I’ve been a Farmers Insurance agent in Hope for the past 25 years and during that time, Farmers Insurance has always been supportive of their agents when it comes to giving back to the community. Farmers Insurance recently announced that our auto customers will be receiving a 25% reduction on their premiums and our business insurance customers will be receiving a 20% reduction on their premiums. We were honored to be given this opportunity to give something back to our local community.”
