Lafayette County Crash Claims Hope Businessman

BRADLEY – A one-vehicle crash this morning in Lafayette County claimed the life of a longtime Hope businessman. Lynn Heckman, 81, was driving a 2013 GMC Sierra south on Arkansas Highway 53 near Bradley when the vehicle left the roadway on the right side, striking a culvert and overturning. Heckman died in the crash. Injured was a passenger, 61-year-old Jerry Thomas of Hope. He was transported to Springhill Medical Center in Springhill, Louisiana for treatment of his injuries. Arkansas State Trooper Brent Walker investigated.

Heckman was the longtime owner of Hope Outdoor Power & Equipment in Hope.
