Charity bike ride coming through Hope

By submitted, 05/14/20 2:00 PM

HOPE – My name is Chad Royer and two of my biggest passions are pro-life issues and riding motorcycles.  For the past couple of years I have been able to put the two together for charity rides where the goals were to ride more than 1,000 miles in one day and to raise money and awareness for our Bedford, Indiana Pregnancy Care Center, Hope Resource Center.   These rides were successful but I found that most people didn’t even know what a pregnancy center is and what they offer.

This year I want to do a ride that takes longer than a day so that I can post more times on social media and allow people the chance to follow along with my ride as it progresses.  I hope to draw them in as the seven days pass.  Each evening when I arrive at my destination I plan to make a post about Hope Resource Center and also a post about pro-life issues so that people are more educated just because they were tracking my adventures.  I am not asking for any money but only that people click on the links and learn something about pregnancy centers and the wonderful things they offer.  The more people share the posts, the more people can see the information.  I hope for a Facebook blitz of info for the week!

My ride is planned to begin on June 13th at noon at Hope Resource Center.   I will ride to seven different states that contain a town named Hope and will cover close to 4,000 miles over the next seven days until I return on June 20th.  At each “Hope” I will have someone check the box on the side of my motorcycle to prove that I made it.  I also hope to make a connection between a local church and the nearest Carenet or Heartbeat International pregnancy care center.  Things are uncertain and my start date may change but I am committed to accomplishing this ride and making connections between pregnancy care centers and local communities.
