PERRYTOWN – The Perrytown Improvement Project is scheduled to begin Monday, May 18th, weather permitting. According to Mayor Dave Rose and the Perrytown City Council, Bobo and Bain Construction Company of Hope has been contracted to begin replacing driveway culverts that have deteriorated over the years.

“It is the desire of everyone involved to have the driveways put back, as closely as possible, to their original design and surface covering. The City Council asks for your support and understanding as this project might create a short term “mess” to alleviate long-term drainage issues. Your tax dollars will fund this project and no debt will be incurred by the city, ” said a statement from the city officials.

Additionally, the streets will be resurfaced in the upcoming weeks. The Arkansas Department of Transportation is overseeing the overlay project. This project is funded thru a grant the city applied for and received.

“We hope to have more good news in the future,” the statement said.
