The beloved Sister Willie Jean Armstrong was born on Sunday, May 18, 1958 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Joe and Pearlean Armstrong. She attended Bumpham Elementary School and later graduated from Bradley High School with the Class of 1976. She later accepted Christ at Union Hill Baptist Church in Canfield, AR, under the leadership of Pastor Tommie Law.

In 1983 Willie Jean married her husband of 37 years, Mr. Robert Caldwell Jr., and to this union two sons were born, Robert and Roderick. On top of being a loving mother and wife, Willie Jean was employed at Tyson Foods, Inc. for 25 years. She retired in 2007. Willie Jean enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and co-workers.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2020, she was given eternal peace at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas when she was 61 years old. The family of Willie Jean is so grateful that God allowed them to be by her bedside and say their last goodbyes. Although they did not want to let her go, God needed her more.

Those awaiting her arrival to welcome her home include: her parents, Joe and Pearlean Armstrong and Thomas Barker; two sisters, Patricia Ann and Diann; and one brother-in-law, Thomas Caldwell.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: husband, Robert Caldwell Jr.; sons, Robert (La’Shana) Armstrong of Texarkana, Texas, Roderick (Allice) Caldwell of Hope, AR; four sisters, Gloria Turner, Bobbie Evans, Zenobia Barker all of Hope, AR; Pamela Eason of Texarkana, TX; three brothers, Joe Armstrong of Bradley, AR, Lee Edward Armstrong of Hope, AR and Eugene (Michelle) Barker of Tollette, AR; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Angela (Alfred) Marshall of Hope, AR and Catrena (Tobias) Tidwell of Prescott, AR; brother-in-laws, Tim (Kristy) Caldwell of Little Rock, AR and Randy Caldwell of Oklahoma; three aunts, special friends, Pat, Rhonda and Brenda; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
