Crash Near Fulton Kills Two

FULTON – Two people were killed this morning in a head-on collision in the eastbound lane of Interstate 30 near Exit 18 at Fulton. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, a 2019 GMC truck driven by Joe William Smith II, 39,  of Aledo, Texas was traveling east on the westbound side in the left lane. A 2020 Toyota PC driven by DaJuan Ricardo Horton, 28, of Cordova, Tennessee was traveling west in the left lane. The vehicles collided head-on. The GMC traveled off the south side of the roadway into the median and overturned. The Toyota traveled off the north side of the road before coming to a stop.

Both drivers were pronounced dead by Hempstead County Coroner David Peters at 5:46 am. Corporal Christina Bussey investigated.
