On May 16, 2020, at approximately 6:10am, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Antonio Evans, 36, of Hope, Arkansas and charged him with aggravated assault on a family member and served him with a foreign warrant.  The arrest occurred in the 700 block of South Pine Street, in Hope.  Evans was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.

On May 16, 2020, at approximately 7:30pm, officers of the Hope Police Department arrested Smequaleia Jackson, 18, of Hope, Arkansas and charged her with aggravated assault on a family member.  The arrest occurred in the 1300 block of East 3^rd Street, in Hope. Jackson was taken to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first appearance.
