Wreck Claims Hope Woman

HOPE – A crash this morning has claimed the life of a Hope resident. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, the victim has been identified as Lisa E. Lester, 31, of Hope.

According to the report, a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban driven by the victim was westbound on Highway 32 East near the Hempstead Road 117 intersection, when it traveled off the north side of the roadway, colliding with a mailbox, apparently over-corrected back onto the highway before overturning several times. She was pronounced dead at Wadley Regional Medical Center. The crash happened at 8:04 am. Corporal Christina Bussey investigated.
