Amos Strickland Sr. was born July 23, 1958, to loving parents Freeland and Ophelia Williams Strickland in Canfield, Arkansas. He united with Union Hill Baptist Church in Canfield, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeland and Ophelia Strickland; two daughters: Tonya Lyshunn Strickland and Laquilla Strickland; one sister, Mattie Bell Bennet and three brothers:Richard Strickland, David Strickland, and Freeland Strickland Jr. He is survived by two sons: Amos Strickland of Lewisville, Ar. and Marcus Eason of Hope, AR; three daughters: Victoria (Kenneth) Moore of Lewisville, AR, Lisa Eason of Nashville, AR and Tanika Wyrick of Stamps, AR; three brothers: Ubin(Betty) Strickland of Bradley, AR, Billy (Janet) Strickland of Texarkana, TX and Dale (Jina) Strickland of Shreveport, LA; eight sisters: Gladys Johnson of Lewisville, AR, Daisy Strickland of Kansas City, Ola Mae (Robert) Gill of Houston, TX, Matilda Strickland of Kansas City, MO, Emma Jean (Jimmy) Lollis of Houston, TX, Jeanette (Joe) Davis of Lewisville, AR Christina (Rev. Calvon) Turner of Lewisville, AR, Bobbie (David) Estes of Eldorado, Kansas; 16 grandchildren and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
